Back in 2015, we embarked on a project involving a classic Berliner Altbau in its original state – untouched by renovation. This former co-living apartment (WG) bore the charming marks of its past, each trace a testament to its unique history. With a fresh perspective, the new owners set out to craft an exquisite personal haven from this potential.

Spanning 141 sq.m., this residence features four rooms that overlook the iconic Berliner TV Tower and the ever-evolving cosmopolitan scene right outside its doors. Dating back to 1902, this apartment has quietly observed the passage of a century's worth of stories.

Through a meticulous renovation process, we breathed new life into this dwelling by incorporating restored original elements – such as the grand double doors that link the rooms and the carefully revitalised stucco work. In instances where modern dry construction concealed parts of the ceilings, we painstakingly reintroduced missing stucco fragments. When devising the interior design, we paid homage to the building's storied past and its age, all while aligning it with the distinct preferences and architectural sensibilities of our clients.

Every piece of furniture, each lighting fixture, and all window embellishments were thoughtfully selected to create an ensemble that fosters harmony and comfort within these walls. It's worth noting that, even after nearly seven years, we're still perfecting certain aspects of the space, ensuring its timeless appeal remains intact.
